About Paksur

Why a managed sourcing marketplace for instruments exists at all.

Last updated 5 September 2026

Sialkot makes a large share of the world’s surgical and dental instruments. It is sold badly. A workshop that hand-forges and finishes instruments to a fine tolerance lists them on a photo taken against a workshop wall, with forty words of description, and competes on price alone with no way for an international buyer to judge quality or compliance. That gap is the entire reason we exist.

The name

Paksur is simply Pakistan Surgical — a plain name for a plain promise: qualified Pakistani manufacturers, one managed sourcing partner, and a buyer experience that an importer can actually trust.

What we actually do

We qualify suppliers, then take over everything downstream of the workshop door. Their photography goes through a quality gate and a cleanup pipeline before it reaches you. Their instruments are mapped to a taxonomy that makes sense to a buyer rather than a factory. Their listings are written by people who understand the procedure. And their quotations are prepared by us, from their cost, using published rules — so one supplier can never undercut another into a race to the bottom, and margins stay confidential.

What we refuse to do

We do not invent certifications, stock or delivery promises. We do not label a product compliant, sterile or approved without verified evidence and authorised review. We do not hide the supplier, and we do not hide their on-time shipping rate even when it is unflattering. We publish lead times as they are rather than as we would like them to be.

The standards every listing meets before it goes live

  • A hero image that passes the quality gate — resolution, sharpness, background, framing.
  • Full specification: material grade, pattern, dimensions and intended use.
  • Available certificates and test reports, with their scope and issuing body stated.
  • A real lead time from the workshop, not a marketing estimate.
  • A quotation computed from cost with a published margin floor.
